Are you one of those women who has a closet full of clothes but still feel like you have nothing to wear? Do you buy clothing and leave them hanging in your closet with the tags on? Are you a binge shopper? Do you keep clothing for a long time in the hope that one day it will come back in style or that you can fit into it? If any of these questions make you nod in agreement then my wardrobe makeover service might be just what the image consultant orders.
A closet ideally should be a reflection of the woman who owns it–however, this is often not the case. An important outcome of this service is seeing whether the clothes you do own are aligned with where you want to take your look and your image.
The ideal goal is for you to utilize and love ALL your clothes in your closet. After an initial consultation, I will review your current wardrobe for style, fit, color, relevance, coordination, and function. I take your preferences, priorities, lifestyle, tastes and goals into consideration so that the wardrobe makeover is customized to your needs. I will ensure you have key wardrobe essentials in place; purge items of clothing that are not in sync with your new image goals; and identify key gaps in your wardrobe.
I will also show you how to ‘shop your closet’, to use clothing you already own to create ‘new’ outfits so you optimize your clothes in the best possible way. A key component is understanding how to incorporate accessories to pull your look together so you have a complete ensemble. Knowing how to work with a wide variety of accessories so you have a polished look that has your signature stamp can transform your outfit from blah to blazing in minutes!
As part of the service, I will be purging clothing that no longer serves you and in the process you’ll be trying on a lot of your clothing. I want to make sure your clothing fits and flatters you and reflects your personal style and lifestyle needs. A reward from purging your closet is being able to identify the gaps in your wardrobe so you can begin to develop a targeted shopping list. And that means, shopping trip!
A wardrobe overhaul can be a fabulous way to purge your closet of clothing that no longer serves you, shop your closet, create a shopping list and ensure that your closet is deserving of the fabulous woman that you are.
If you’re not able to utilize the services of an image consultant, fret not. You can enlist the help of a trusted friend (with fashion sense) and do a lot of this work yourself.
